Meet Paula
Paula is the Chief Title Counsel at Ligris. She evaluates and provides curative advice on a wide variety of commercial and residential real estate title matters. She is also the primary legal contact to the firm’s national title insurance underwriters. In addition, Paula has extensive experience in representing buyers, sellers, and lenders in residential and commercial real estate transactions. Paula is also the director of education for new associates. She organizes seminars/webinars and provides written material regarding title analysis and resolution.
Outside the Office
Paula spends her free time with her family. She enjoys cooking, long walks, and lots of time painstakingly trying to learn the game of tennis.

Background
Prior to landing at Ligris in 2012, Paula practiced in a general law firm in Naples, Maine. When she and her family moved back to the greater Boston area in 1997, she focused her practice on residential real estate and has been doing residential and commercial transaction work since then.
Paula grew up in Watertown, Massachusetts and currently resides in Wayland, Massachusetts with her husband, three children, and their dog, Sam.

Why Paula?
Paula has a great deal of experience in residential and commercial real estate. Her primary expertise is in title analysis and resolution. She examines and advises both attorneys and paralegals regarding title issues and works to resolve those issues with various title insurance companies.
In addition to her title work, Paula has experience in every phase of the real estate transaction, from soup to nuts. She has a real knack for walking first-time buyers through the purchase process. Paula also handles her older sellers with a great deal of compassion as they downsize and move into a new phase of their lives.
