Jim concentrates on all aspects of residential and commercial real estate transactions. He represents individuals, developers and lenders in the acquisition, sale, development and financing of real estate.
Jim is from Montgomery, MA and currently resides in East Boston.
Outside the Office
In the winter months Jim enjoys skiing as much as possible. During the summer you can find him on the beach or the golf course, and during football season, he’s tuned in to the Patriots game. He’s always up for catching a concert and making you dance.

Prior to joining the Ligris, Jim practiced real estate law and estate planning in Arlington, MA. He also has a background in litigation, working in greater New York City as plaintiff’s counsel in discrimination suits. As a law student, Jim interned with the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague, Netherlands, as well as with Physicians for Human Rights in Cambridge.
Jim has a passion for helping clients navigate real estate transactions. For many of his clients, these are the largest transactions of their lives. With this in mind, Jim takes pride in his communication with clients throughout the transaction. He is never too busy for a phone call, e-mail, or text, to answer any questions to help ensure a smooth and stress free transaction.
